OA new concept for custom made OMP-GIS applications is available. It uses mapbasic programming code to generate 'turn key ' OMP-GIS applications according to customer specifications. This approach will dramatically reduce the learning curve and the necessary operator skills for spatial data analysis and provide menu driven options to everyone who wants to use OMP-GIS applications and thematic maps. The menu in the example shows a list of GIS application topics and details in the sub-menu. The necessary resources (data links, maps, tables, data queries) for each application are created by the program automatically without any requirements for user input. Only a set of standard base maps and a set of customized legend definitions are required to guarantee a company wide standardized presentation of the maps.

The new OMP-GIS add-in program is used to prepare the actual data sources and to maintain the link to the OMP back end data source.

The next picture shows the use of the OMP Themes Menu, after the yield application and the year of presentation was selected. The map was generated to show the spatial bunch weight distribution.

The final application can either be fully restricted to the OMP-GIS menu options only, or fully open to allow all MapInfo commands and options to be used.
